Description
Medium Size Carbon Frame
Was recently serviced a few months ago. The bike has always been serviced by a professional shop and is well taken care of.
Rode this bike for about a year. I grew out of it quickly, and it hasn’t been ridden very much over the past few years.

I dont think so. You could probably get a new one for the same price or close to it with a warranty.
I’d say $1400 max
I can’t really comment on price, but I have an orange 2019 tallboy (last year of tallboy 3 I believe) and it absolutely rips. climbs like a goat. if the components are good quality and good condition I’m sure it’s a decent deal. if they are worn out or he replaced parts with crap then not a great deal.
Edit: Never hurts to try to negotiate!
Consider the price of new brakes because Level T brakes are the worst.
This 2019 Tallboy C R was $3,900 when new. Today, 7 years later, it should be around $1K-$1.2K.
This is that bike:

Is it Carbon C or CC? Tallboy S, R, XX1 Reserve, or XTR reserve? Santa Cruz has a less than intuitive tiering system for every model year. https://99spokes.com/bikes?q=2019%20tallboy
Others on here or the Santa Cruz subreddit may know by the color and suspension components which sub-model this Tallboy is. But MSRP for a 2019 Carbon Tallboy can fall anywhere between $4k and $10k. Knowing which one this bike is will give you the strongest negotiating position.
No matter how you spin it, if he’ll come down below $1500, def buy it. Good luck 👍🏼
I’d haggle, but if it’s what I wanted, yeah, I probably would buy.
I’d pay $1500 max
I have 2 SC bikes and they’ve been awesome so I’m tempted to say go for it, but this looks like the lowest end build: NX, crappy WTB wheels, so-so suspension and I bet crappy brakes. Great bike otherwise and I’d put it ahead of most other bikes from 2019. If you can get it down to 1,300-1,500 it’s a good deal. But in the end what else are you going to get for 1,700?
