The route begins near Stonehouse in the Stroud Valley.Stroud has a long industrial history dating back so far that it was recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086.
Heading along the old railway line, this route is never far from the water. Throughout the journey you follow the River Frome, the Stroudwater Canal and the Nailsworth Stream to Egypt Mill.
