Not technically a hole. Just the rubber was gouged.
The nylon casing is what holds pressure, the rubber is the tractions and the wear-and-tear portion of a tire, so normals wear-and-tear like this won’t cause blow outs or leaks.

Had same “problem”. I was riding that tyre further on for two years 😉

Probably not an issue. Have you taken it off to check how it looks from the inside? It’s very likely fine to keep riding.
