Hi everyone,
I just received this new "Petit Porteur" (mini-velo cargo) frame. I noticed this irregular finish where the rack tube meets the dropout plate.
The main tube looks okay, but the edge of the support plate seems "eaten away".
Is this a structural concern (undercut) or just bad aesthetics for a brand new utility frame? Should I ask for a replacement?

As a metal worker/ex welder this is no way acceptable. Nothing like that would ever leave my shop.
That is beyond unacceptable. How any welder with half an ounce of conscience allowed this out of their workstation is mind boggling.
Jesus, even my 100€ frame from aliexpress had leagues better welding and finish.
Quick Release bottom bracket
Just ask for a replacement, how did it get out of the workshop like that? If they want to repair it and sell it to someone else that’s their business.
On the plus side, it looks like a lot of paint on there.
