Except IT and some sectors of engineering there is no jobs for Indian students. Their hidden preferences are the EU and US The persons in giving jobs. The person in white shirt is concealing the reality.
It's not at all wise to come to Germany right now. The economy is in big trouble and the neo-nazi parzies are on the rise. Foreigners are not welcome here and you might experience lots of discrimination.read who the Nazi were.
I have been working and living in Germany for more than 5 years. Market is VERY difficult right now, unless you have C2 German, already have network and looking for jobs that are needed right now which mostly I see in healthcare. Studying in Germany is still a good option in my view, but to stay here and working in DE is much harder than before. So someone shoud be ready with the pressure and the length of finding a job, and also be ready of the problems here in Germany especially with paperwork etc.
As a student working parttime in a local company here is my perspective:
1) Large OEMs, 1/2nd tier Suppliers and MNCs want students with work experience. The only way to get that is through internships or part time work. There are small engineering firms across germany that are growing yoy and they offer amazing opportunities to learn and apply all the theoretical knowledge in a practical environment. As a student, getting a working student role must be #1 priority.
2) Language is hard but achievable. With C1 level it becomes easy to communicate with germans. Pro tip: Don't hang out in groups, mingle with other foreigners/locals.
3) There is growing demand for workers in the field of renewables energy but a strong decline in automotive sector is quite clear. If i am fresher, i would keep this in mind and choose wisely because opportunities varies drastically across sectors
4) If your someone who is working currently full-time, i wouldnt recommend germany rn. The economy is bad and its just too hard to find a role even with Chancenkarte visa. Logical step would be to get more experience and wait until the economy is better in EU (try again 2-3 years, not now)
5) Finally bureaucracy is everywhere. It means, if you have all the right documents then you would get what you want but its slow asf. The gov. offices are slowly shifting to online systems but still everything is slow.
6) Currently we indians havent got the best rep in social media (dunno why). Just be cool and ignore rare racism that you might face (happened to me just once in over 2 years).
