Last year I decided to learn how to bunny hop (without cheating with SPDs, which is how I did it for years). I've gotten to the point that I can hop 6-7", but I know my technique isn't quite right.
Any tips based on this? Video is at 50% speed, btw.
Also, chunks of snow are perfect for practicing bunny hops 🙂

Not horrible compared to many other *first time bunnyhop* videos that pop up around here. Hard to give too much advice without seeing you try something higher.
I will say a couple things, though. The higher you get the front tire before popping the rear makes things easier. Getting the front tire up shouldn’t be done so much with your arms (that’ll wear you down real fast) as with getting your weight back and leaning back, like a manual. Practice just getting the front tire way up in the air without putting all that stress on your arms and bunny hopping will become easier, less tiring, and higher. It looks like you are getting your weight back some, but when I bunny hop, I am way farther back on the bike for the initial front wheel pull up.
