  1. That's very, very high!! probably due to all the housing upstream at Hinckley and Attleborough, off the Wem Brook etc… this issue will only get worse and there is more rain to come next week!

  2. Cleaver Gardens were built many years ago but we have'nt learned. Driven by government targets we're still building on land that will flood as climate change increases the intensity and occurrence of heavy rain.

  3. Check out the full upstream catchment area for draining to Nuneaton. Yes you well report consequences. I'm sure upper stream land management would better mitigate. Who they? Great vid thanks😊

  4. Interesting article. It is exactly the same issue that the residents of Dove Close and Woodlands lane in Bedworth are currently facing. There is a good article by Claire Harrison todays date in the local press about it. All of the area known as the Woodlands is saturated and flooded and cannot take a drop more rain. As of today Woodlands lane looks exactly like a scene from Venice and is completely impassable. The situation is not helped in the least by NBBC and WCC (flood authority) who are allowing Arbury Estates to construct a large number of unnecessary and expensive houses on the beautiful green fields in the area which will not only cause more flooding on the roads mentioned but also in the area known locally as the Nook due to run off. This will, in turn cause flooding to other areas of the town precisely the same as in this piece. All of the concerns of local residents including the chaos caused by abandoned flooded vehicles plus the fact that one poor soul lost his life in the floods together with numerous call outs of emergency rescue services are being conveniently ignored due to Government policy regarding house building. Until a year ago we lived in the area but moved away due to my wife's work. If I were the residents I would want the name of someone really senior at NBBC and WCC to enable me to sue them when the houses flood which I am sorry to say that they inevitably will!
