Geddy & Alex know that nobody could ever replace their legendary friend and have even said as much, They were always there for Neil when continuing to play became too painful and have properly mourned his passing.
I myself am excited about this, they just want to play their music for fans again and finally found someone who they feel can gracefully and successfully keep up with their style of music.

I read these comments about how she can't replace Neil Peart and it's just stupid. She was hired because Geddy and Alex want to get out and play. They are musicians, have been for life. To quit playing is hard because now you have a big empty void to fill. She isn't here to replace Neil. She is here because she is damn good drummer and that's what Alex and Geddy want.
