After this years harsh winter(Hamburg) my drive-train is pretty done, so i want to use the moment to change the cog, chain and chainring.
Was decided on a Miche chainring but figured there are different BCDs(new term for me).
Acc to google my Feather comes with 130 bcd and the only chainring that fits the description + comes in black is this Sturmey Archer but not certain about the mixed colours.
Anyone can recommend a full black one? I prefer the more solid/bold design rather rings in rings. I dont want to add a new crankset yet, as it still works fine.
Currently having 46t+16t(ratio 2.875), i want to go to slightly lighter one 48t + 18t(2.66), is that reasonable? That difference should be noteable?
Also bit confused about all those imperial measurements used for the chains, chainring and cog width. Do i understand correctly that 1/8" chain fits on 3/32" cog n chainring but not the other way around?
But i could use a 1/8" chain and the cog 3/32" with a 1/8" chainring(or the other way around) also?
cheers!
