I’m setting up a road wheel set for my bike but not sure on the best route. Are you guys running tubeless on you second wheel set? I’m thinking the sealant may dry out over time? Also, what’s the best way to store your second wheel set? I don’t love the idea of leaving them on the ground in the garage and would prefer to have them hooked on the wall.

I leave them on the ground in my garage. I use Orange Seal Endurance, since it’s marketed as lasting a long time and has worked for me on my main wheelset.
Tubeless for EVERYTHING!
Being able to run lower pressures is my jam. If I need to up the pressure it’s much easier with my little packable pump. Whip that puppy out I go from 20 to 35 in no time.
I can usually go 2 seasons before needing a little top off.
Hey, I know that river!
I run tubeless for gravel and tubes for road. I’ve never had an issue in this area running tubes for my road tires. Just my experience if you don’t want to deal with sealant for a set of tires that aren’t used often.
Setup tubeless. I hang them in the garage and rotate them from time to time
both. 32mil gp5k s-tr’s running tubeless, wideboys for less smooth romps: also tubeless.
Running tubeless on MTB and gravel. Still running tubes for road. May set up TPU for additional protection and less weight. I’ve only had 2 blowouts in 16 years of road riding. Doesn’t seem worth the additional maintenance of topping off tires every 8-12 months. Of course if you’re riding very remote or riding in the dark a lot I wouldn’t run tubes.
TPU tubes are better unless your aim is to avoid punctures
I run tubeless in Sacramento and haven’t had to change a flat in years. 🙂 Just top them off with sealant every few months.
TPU tubes for my road wheelset w/32mm tires. Tubeless for everything else!
Tubes for road tubeless for everything else.
People still run tubes!?
All of my wheelsets are set up tubeless. I have a small white board where I keep track of the last sealant change for each set. No issues staying on top of sealant age this way. And I hang mine because I have room in my garage to do so. But it’s no different than setting them on the ground leaning against the wall, no?
