  1. This is a local manufacturer. I am not affiliated with them, but I think it’s cool these guys are creating niche bikes in a market where everyone is doing the same things.

Of course this is a special edition, but their other bikes also have their own personalities.

Another bike you can’t ride outdoors for fear of damaging its value or some shit

Distilled consumerism, and before you bleat at me about the craftsmanship: that’s the product you’re buying to flex with, no different to a $15000 pinarello or whatever

  3. while this is kind of a consumer meme looking at their other bikes, <$2k for a step through steel bike with an 8 speed igh, color matching fenders, dynamo lighting and brooks saddle seems like a very good price? idk if they can be shipped to america i can only see cad pricing

Wooden rims work better with disc brakes than they ever did with rim brakes

Jobst Brandt, during his first trip over the Alps by bicycle, got his metal rims so hot on descents his tubulars would melt off. He re-laced his wheels with wooden rims to finish his tour; the wooden rims dealt better with heat, but ate brake pads.

The pedals show you who this is marketed to, shame cause it seems like a genuinely cool build in a lot of other ways
