Subscription Brompton for the second time and second time they send me one with well worn tyres. Do these grey lines mean I need to replace tyres or are they normal? They look like fibres beneath the rubber.
In my experience with the same issue, you have a bunch of life left.
I did end up swapping my rear tire out eventually with a deep side wall split on a seam. The marathon green I put on doesn’t have a seam there.

Great, thank you. The last bike I had suddenly popped and I ended up breaking spokes in the centre of Camden. Was costly and I’d like to avoid that.
