As in the subject – I got my new frame faced in local bikeshop – both bb and head tube. After installing headset I noticed that after removing press a space appeared, pressed it again thinking that I missed it but again, after removing the press I witnessed headset coming out a little out of the headtube, on rightside only (other sits flush) enough space to put a piece of paper.
I don't have a tool to punch it out right now (only one for smaller, classic headtubes, this one is 44mm) but after picking up the frame from the shop I noticed that inner wall of headtube had some markings like from machining – could it be that the shop used some tool that removed some material from inside of the tube and now this is causing the cup to come out?
When installing I did my best to keep it leveled. How badly am I screwed?

They likely took off a little more material when facing the head tube, so the inset of the lower king cup is now longer than the widened cup of the head tube ever so slightly. When compressed it looks fine, but once you remove the compression, it no longer sits flush.
Update: managed to punch it out, this is how insides looks like after facing, is it suppose to be like this?

Ask the shop, not us. Facing doesn’t typically involve any tooling or material removal on the inside of the head tube. Maybe there was some paint overspray that somebody got overzealous about removing?
If it’s a problem that the shop didn’t cause, take it up with the frame manufacturer or the vendor you got the frame from.
On old or cheap frames with sloppy tolerances, I’ve shimmed a soda can around the headset pressfit interface and sent it. Not the choice I’d make here with nicer stuff.
I wonder if this wouldn’t take care of itself after installing the fork and having everything pressed… But on a custom job that fancy I’d take it back to the shop
Would be good to measure with calipers to see how off the fit is. There may be a very thin shim or Loctite 660 in your future.
