Hey all, hope everyone is well.
I do voluntary work for a charity that repairs bikes in my town. We got given a Fuji Two.1 Absolute. Overall the bike is fine, but the U brakes, what is the name of the item I need to get these brakes working? I've looked up straddle cables, and i get a lot of cantilever brake results, not quite what I need.

You need a double-ended straddle cable and a straddle cable hangar/yolk. Check the frame’s housing stop too. It will need a threaded/adjustable barrel on it Cause the adjustment at the lever is rarely enough after you clamp the cable.
Oftentimes you can rob those parts from 70’s “center pull” road brakes.
Look up U-brakes on sheldon Brown’s guide, it’s pretty solid.
