i ride fixed and am the proud owner of 2 stripped rear hubs in just as many days, and would love your reccomendations on hubs that dont strip after less than 2 months use (or 2 hours in the case of the black hub đ ) both hubs are 16tooth fixed/freewheel and my sprocket is 46tooth. am i riding too aggressively? am i over-geared? is chain tention really that important? should i quit riding fixed forever and switch back to my boring old tcr? please help as all my options seem far too expensive.

What do you mean by “stripped”?
Shouldnât be too difficult to replace the axle.
How are you tightening the cog and lockring in the first place? I don’t think a fancier hub is necessarily going to fix anything, and you don’t want to be paying up for DA or Suzue or other nice hubs if they’re just going to get stripped out again in short order.
it’s pretty normal to have the fixed cog slip a little until you get it tightened completely after riding a bit (source: been riding fixed gear for 20 years). The only time I managed to get it tight enough to not have to do this involved a vice and questionable clamping on the cog itself. Carry a lock ring wrench (the longer the better) for a bit and everytime you ride, tighten it. Eventually you will get rid f the slipping back.
It’s not the hub, it’s you.
You need to learn how to properly tighten your cog and locking before ridingÂ
