I was able to find a 2019-2020 TREK Domane AL 3 52cm on Facebook marketplace for $270. The previous owner bought the bike during COVID, rode it less than 100 miles, kept it in the garage and never bothered to change the pedals to clipless.
I took it to the TREK Store and got a level 2 service, replaced the brakes/brake pads, replaced the bar tape, removed/replaced the flats with clipless pedals for $250.
All in the total cost to upgrade from a TREK FX 3 to a TREK Domane AL 3: $520
Not sure how much I would get for the TREK FX 3 but that would also reduce the total cost of the bike upgrade.

Solid choice! I wish they still made a rim brake Domane. Nice that you found one in your size.
