i bought new cranks and this is the maximum they go on, and this is with no spacers, can i ride it like so ir do the cranks need to seat fully in? because right now they seem perfectly centered like i mean the space between frame and crank is identical but the spindle seems too short, all i can think of is shaving down the spacer/washer but it will make the cranks unevenly far from the frame like one far out more and one less, because there is nothing i can do to adjust it on the other side that has just the sprocket
so can i ride it like so or do i nee to figure something out?

You should be fine with that.
Definitely doesn’t seem good to me. New cranks came with new spindle? Can you take a further away pic of both sides
Is it the right length spindal for the cranks?
Spindle needs to be at the very minimum 50% into the arm boss, and even then it’s advised to have more axle contact.
So no don’t run this.
With new 48 spline axled cranks you need to absolutely cover them with proper grease, like not just an about, slather them with it!
You never want the spindle to be in the arms to where there are no splines visible, it will make the crank bolts bottom out on the spindle instead of tightening everything together. (Obviously not your concern here, but just for future reference.)
That being said, do you think you have 60-70% of the spindle in the arms?
Also due to you having no spacers, the spindle could be on the short side, but again really depends on how much spindle is actually in the arm as it currently sits.
Did you loosen the pinch bolt below? Those fiend cranks have a cool little locking wedge mechanism. They should slide on and off pretty easily until this bolt is tightened.
So i got the same cranks (fiend 2pc) and run the bb buddy on my nds. I also only run a tiny spacer between frame and sprocket. My cranks looked pretty much the same and I never had any issues until now. I know it looks like a big gap, but also plenty of axle is in the crank.
Riding mine weekly or even twice a week for 1 1/2 years
