Went to grab this bike just for the XT parts, but when I picked it up noticed how light it is – Tange Prestige frame. Think it was someone's comp bike back in the day?
All original parts except for the saddle, grips and period XT pedals. Just a lot of rust removal (the chain was so rusted together it broke my chain breaker 🙁 ), and had to pull apart the shifters to remove the solidified grease. Repainted the non-drive side crank arm because the paint flaked off fully when I soaked it in rust remover. Left the drive side as is because some text managed to hold on.
It's got a really weird Tioga Revolver one-piece crank system. Planned to replace because it was fully rusted together it but just replaced the bearings and left it on there.
It's maybe a bit short for me but the top tube and stem are really long so it works. It is a lot of fun to ride.
