In all honesty, if you have green trails around that have gotten boring, PLEASE try underbiking a few times. Or ride at night. Or both idc im not your dad

Skinny tires on single track is a great feeling. Until you flat on a root. Skinny tires on a single track at night? I’m not brave enough to find out, bc I don’t like dealing with flats in the dark.
Did that a couple of times with mates, even after a flat just ride on the rims till something breaks is an absolute blast
I used to ride my Langster as a mild gravel bike quite a bit. It was fun but anything rougher than a gravel path shook me to pieces. Stopped doing it after a series of flats annoyingly far from home!
