I wanted to make this post hopefully to inspire anyone who has a crazy idea or is on the fence about doing a big tour to go ahead and do it. To my knowledge I am the first and only person to have done what I did and before when I was planning the trip I was scared to post online about my idea, thinking people would say it's not doable and would be able to talk me out of it.
If you have a crazy idea that's wicked and just go for it, you'll figure it out along the way. Before this trip I had never biked much over 100km and had only done one bike touring trip on my dad's old road bike. I guesstimated how much I could roughly bike in a day, not taking into account elevation at all just rough distances. I managed to not only stay on schedule but actually be ahead of schedule at the end.
If anyone has any questions to biking across canada, happy to answer. There's tons of resources out there but I also found a lot of the content was a couple years old.
One thing i didn't see online but thankfully found out before hand, warmshowers is still very active and is a great way to find some accommodations. Only had good experiences with great hosts. I also heard it's active abroad too. Definitely worth like the $25 or whatever activation fee.

I’m amazed you’ve already rested enough to put together a post about it!
Dude that’s so sick. I’m so impressed.
I’ve only done international touring because I’ve always been a bit scared of the Canadian roads (and drivers tbh). How did you find the actual cycling experience? You spend much time on highways? Have plenty of space most of the time?
Bonus – what was your favourite and least favourite province to bike through? Any of them surprise you?
Which direction did you bike in? Where did you start from and what was your route? I’ve been debating doing this. I was thinking of doing it in chunks and riding from Toronto to Newfoundland on one trip. Then doing another trip of Vancouver to Toronto.
