I'm planning on doing an extended tour on mainly back roads gravel and rail trails. I have tried extensively to make myself like to be bent over on other bikes, and, it just is not comfortable no matter what I've tried. I recently came across the "Dutch" style bikes, and immediately thought THATS IT! I've tried explaining that gravel bikes with drop bars are not what I mean when I say I want to sit upright but, none of the bike shops I've been to have really been able to help point me in the right direction. I'm more than happy to change handlebar, drive train, whatever, so long as the bike itself is comfortable. Basically what I'm asking here is, does anyone have any experience with this type of bike for touring? The geometry of it moreso than the specific bike pictured. I don't need anything super fast, I just want to enjoy the time being outside, not break any land speed records. I just want to be comfortable and, for the life of me I cannot get comfortable when I'm all hunched over and there's all my weight on my wrists. If anyone has any suggestions in any regards, I would really appreciate it!

The Electra Loft is probably the cheapest/easiest to find example you’ll find of this in the US, under the Trek umbrella now. At least outside of more bespoke high end makes.

Geometry wise they’re pretty similar to the “cruiser inspired hybrids” like the Cannondale Treadwell, Trek Verve, Specialized Roll, Marin Kentfield/Stinson. Super slack seat tube to make it easier to reach the floor, super long headtube so you can sit upright. It’s definitely not the ideal position for hard efforts, but for casual riding it does have its place.

As they’re generally sold for more casual riding, they often have limited gearing or even single speed. For loaded touring you may want to change a few things. Frame mounting options can vary.
