I picked up a new revolt advanced 0. Took it out for a 32 mile gravel ride and damn it is a nice bike. My seat post slid down . I need to adjust it back and I guess add some carbon paste to keep it from happening again.
I used carbon paste in my seatpost tube and I have no issues with it sliding, so that should fix it. I’m not sure if they changed the bolts or not but mine came with some 3mm hex head aluminum bolts that stripped easy. I’d suggest replacing with something else. I went with some titanium ones but obviously steel would work fine.
In case you’re curious the bike fits 2.1″ Thunder Burts and they are awesome. I am using G One RS in 45s for everyday riding and the burts on rougher gravel for racing where appropriate. Oh and you can also fit a 2.25″ Maxxis Aspen in the front, but that’s about the max.
Giant’s paint chips like crazy so if you really want a pristine bike I’d suggest using protective film.
Enjoy the new bike. I wish I had the downtube storage on mine.

Yeah you need carbon paste, but also the stock bolt holding the seat post in place is pretty weak. It says 7 Nm max, but I think it’s also 7 Nm min, and it’s pretty easy to strip that bolt if you’re not careful with the wrench,
