I would like to know if anyone has successfully installed the range extender on their Spectral:OnFly. Since the kit has been out of stock from Canyon direct since at least November of last year I pieced together my own kit, sourced from other vendors, but with exact part numbers as provided by Canyon support. I happily tried installing it over the weekend but the top of the battery interferes with the shock, and it isn’t even close. When comparing the photo from Canyon’s own site to real life, it is quite apparent that they photoshopped the battery onto the frame. It does not sit the way it does on the photo with the Fidlock mount. I suspect that Canyon has actually never sold this kit because they couldn’t get it fit either, and now I’m stuck with a $600 paperweight. What to do? Am I dumb and I just don’t understand something?

Maybe frame size differences? Canyon is far from perfect in documentation etc regarding those kind of nuances. This video seems to show the range extender being installed, so I don’t think it’s a photoshop: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2h6s1U25Nc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2h6s1U25Nc)
