I know it’s tempting to take mimosa branches with you for souvernir purpose, like this guy did (they are so beautiful and fragrant), but please don’t break off branches from mimosa trees. It will kill the mimosa forest. You want this (rare) mimosa forest in Southern France to last, and to bloom every year, don’t you? 😊

This is the Route du Mimosa (Mimosa Trail) which stretches about 130 km along the French Riviera, from Bormes-les-Mimosas to the capital of perfume, Grasse. Mimosa flowers bloom everywhere from late January to mid March, covering the region in a bright yellow sea. Peak blossom is in mid February, right now! Don’t miss it.

In this series of video I took you through a car-free trip along this Mimosa Trail during the blooming season.
