  1. I did replace the tire when I saw tire damage not too long ago. No chance I am letting an accident happen.

  2. Tire definitively needs replacement.

    Might be that the tube is still in perfect condition.

    You may want to check the position of your brake pads as this type of issue is often caused by them touching the tire.

  3. Tubes are cheap and Brompton wheels are annoying to take off. You need a new tyre, if I were you I would replace the tube while I was at it just for the sake of convenience.

  4. Replace the tyre, and check that the brake pads are positioned correctly and are only making contact with the rim and not the tyre.

  5. The brake pad looks too high and/or is not parallel with the rim, that’s what caused the split in the tyre.

    I had the same thing.
