  1. Chroming costs have risen massively, add in that the modern process for chroming is considerably poorer, it’s largely getting dropped from ranges unfortunately

    Byproducts of chroming are incredibly toxic and persistent making them bad for the environment. Not sure where t-bolts are made but if that answer is California, they have laws against chrome plating and I assume other places do as well. S&M now nickel plates some of their handlebars and maybe forks because of this. If you live in a state where chroming isn’t regulated you could get a set in black and have them chromed or nickel plated, maybe reach out to Full Factory for a set of decals? When I built my BTM years ago I vaguely remember buying a set of chrome forks and bars first because S&M was preparing to stop chrome plating stuff.
