I finished my 55cm Platypus and rode it today for the first time. These steel frames are so nice. I went a little crazy on the parts. Paul brakes, levers and skewers. Son widebody dynamo hub. Phil Wood touring rear hub. Nitto lugged seat post and stem. Grand Bios rear derailer. Ideale saddle. Velocity cliffhanger polished rims.

You sure went crazy. Is that one of the new Ideale saddles? How is it? I’ve had a couple of vintage model 90 ones but they were destroyed by age and rain and sweat.

absolutely beautiful, now you gotta be comfortable parking it outside lmao. I built up a front dynamo wheel with a velocity blunt 35 rims but have to wait ~3 weeks for them to build more for me to finish my rear wheel I’m loving the feeling so far
