1. This dude looks like uncontrolled shit on that downhill. So hes not good enough to make a determination, the bike is shit, or 32s will only appeal to very beginner riders.
2. Lets assume for a second that 32s do enhance performance. This I would say that we are with bikes where we were with sports cars in 20 years ago with the endlessly stupid power was. Can a 700HP car go faster than a 300HP car in the real world? No. No it cant. Because the speed limit is the same for everyone and no one buying that 700HP car has the skills to actually drive it. Its a total circle jerk.
Was my 2005 stumpjumper holding me back? Yes. And I knew it at the time. Is my 2023 29er holding me back. Absolutely not. It makes all my local trails boring AF. Its enabled me to unlock bike park things I dont have the skills to be doing anyway. So if a 32″ wheel is going to make me even faster and more capable, I dont really even want that in my life. Its +400HP that I dont have the skills or even the desire to use. And I am better than 9/10 riders out there.
