We’ve left the Pyrenees behind and we’re heading north into France for more motorhome adventures 🇫🇷🚐
Our first stop is a vineyard in Vayres near Bordeaux 🍷a peaceful overnight park-up that finds us absolutely melting in the summer heat 🥵 Vanlife isn’t always glamorous and we get overrun with ants!!
From there we head north to beautiful Ile de Ré, hoping our campsite might let us arrive a day early. There’s just one small problem… we forgot to pay the balance for the two days we had booked 😬 Cue the awkward reception moment.
Will they let us stay?
Thankfully they do 😮💨 We meet up with friends and head out to explore this stunning island by bike. Ile de Ré is famous for its hundreds of kilometres of cycle routes, gorgeous beaches and relaxed French island vibe – and it completely wins us over.
This episode has everything – heatwave struggles, campsite nerves, vineyard stopovers, cycling adventures and the real ups and downs of motorhome life in France.
