I'm looking for a bike to commute to work with and occasional casual rides around town. The Trek ($480) and is definitely the "better" bike as far as performance/components. The Fuji ($350) just seems cool in my opinion. Older 90's mountain bike vs more modern hybrid. What do you all think?
The Fuji has Prestige Tange steel, older Deore XT derailleurs, Nitto bulmoose bars.
The Trek is stock besides the grips. Deore rear derailleur, carbon fork, mechanical disc brakes.

As cool as a restomod Fuji would be, I think trek for commuting would be more comfortable ride as it’s a city/commuter bike already.
The Fuji at 150, the Trek at 350.
