I'm having difficulty get this set up…

BB: IRD QB-95
Crank Set: New Albion XDT Touring 38/36/26
FD: Shimano FD-4703

I replaced my oe FSA BB, FSA crank set and Sora FB to the above kit.

I'm having trouble getting this set up, to the point that if I had a local bike shop, I'd give up and drop the bike with them.

I can get the FD to shift 38/36 but not over to the 26. It just sits on the 36. I dick around with the adjustment screws and can't seem to get it into the alingment on the instruction sets. Plus all of the Tiagra videos I can find are either for the 4700 or 4503 (d/c'ed and slightly different).

Should I just scrap it and get a new BB & Shimano 4703 Crank? Or even just swap to two up front and get a 4700 shifter?

Sometimes a front derailleur will “bottom out” against the frame of the bike on inside stroke. If it’s contacting the frame, there’s not much you can do. You might have to release cable tension to get the derailleur to shift to the inside ring. If you can get the derailleur on that inside chainring, you can reattach the cable and again try to sort it out.
