Hey everyone,

My current bike lease is ending, and I'm looking to get a newer bike. I've narrowed my sights down to the Canyon Inflite CF SL 5 or 6.
To be honest, a large part of the appeal is aesthetic, I really like how it looks in photos, so much, that I might even hang it on my apartment wall! 😂

About my riding style and current bike:
I currently own a light aluminum race bike with cyclocross DNA. I use it for absolutely everything: gravel, road, commuting, climbing, multi-day bikepacking, races, you name it.
– Max tire clearance: 38mm, I use 35mm fast gravel tires
– Groupset: 1x SRAM Rival 1 (first gen hydraulic), 11-46T cassette with a 42T crankset.

My dilemma:
There aren't many recent long-term reviews of the Inflite online, I mostly found old videos where they give an overall description of the bike (I guess is because the design hasn't changed much). I'm hoping to hear from owners or those with experience with the bike to answer a few questions before I commit to a 3 year contract.

Here are my main questions:

Versatility: Would you recommend this as your "one bike to do it all" ?

Resale Value: Does it retain its value well? Does it sell quickly if I decide to upgrade in a few years?

Comfort: How comfortable is the carbon frame? My aluminum bike is surprisingly nice, and I've never ridden a carbon bike before.

Owner Satisfaction: If you had the chance, would you buy it again? Why or why not?

Cockpit Concerns:
– If you have the integrated carbon cockpit, how much adjustment room is there?
– If you have the base model and changed the stem, what did you go with?, I use a 80mm or 99mm stem on my L bike, depending of the use, I also flirt the stem from time to time.
– I'm worried the carbon one won't allow much room for position adjustments or adding aero/TT bars for bikepacking.

Sizing Help:
My current bike is an L, and it's almost the same size as the Inflite M, just with a taller stack.
I am 176cm tall with an 87cm inner leg measurement. Canyon recommends size S, but I'm worried the handlebar will be too low for my comfort preference. Any similar experiences?

Shimano GRX groupset:
– I am a fan of sram
– For those using the stock Shimano GRX do you find it versatile for broad use?, I saw that the cassette is maxed out at 36t. I currently have 46, I rarely use it, but on the few occasions that I needed, I was happy to have it.
– Some people convert it to 2x; how difficult/expensive is that conversion?

General Impressions: How good is the bike in general day-to-day use?

I know that is a lot ^

Photos of your bike for inspiration are always welcome! Thanks in advance for the help!

  1. It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

  2. I have an inflite and love it. I ride cross/road/gravel with it. Mines only 1.5 years old though. There is a guy on my cx team with on that is 6-7 years old and its in great condition and he still loves his. I love my bike and have no second thoughts about it. Sometimes I look at and think, “damn i love that thing”
