sort of hard to say without seeing it in person but i’d guess you have to adjust the b tension when you are in your second picture to get rid of the chain slack, but then it looks like you could use one more link in the chain for the first picture. that being said, you should never really be in that position to begin with. is the wheel as far back as it can go in the dropout? if not, try pulling it back to take in the slack of the chain slightly. it looks like you have enough space with your fender at the back for that too.
