Picked up this old steel frame Trek 420 (lol) with Suntour Blaze (also lol) components and downtube shifters in metallic blue/hot pink as my first road bike. It seems to be in really good condition. No visible rust on the frame and the paint is in excellent condition aside from 2 small rock chips. I payed $220 for it. I plan on replacing a couple of things (tires, brake pads, bar tape, saddle) and then riding the hell out of it. I can’t find much info online regarding the build date as the Vintage Trek website seems to be gone, but my best guess (based on google’s ai answer) is 1988-89. Can anyone confirm based on the color scheme?
