Hey there, first time poster here. Before I say anything, sorry for the non-drive side pics, they're all I have at the moment.
But honestly, I don't think there's much to look at there anyway. The previous owner swapped the original rear derailleur with a cheapo Shimano Altus, which works…fine. Front is original as far as I can tell.
Right here is my newly-acquired Bianchi Sport SS from (maybe?) 1982. I bought it from a guy in Dallas, TX for $110 who bought it from some other dude. I imagine it's traded hands many times in the last 44 years.
I hate drop-bars, so I swapped them with flat bars with Shimano brake levers and Trek Line Comp MTB Grips for a bit of contrast. I really like how it looks. I wish I could add a little Bianchi Celeste Blue in there, maybe a couple vinyl stripes on the handlebars?
It rides SO well. I've never liked road bikes, but this one is an exception for sure. It's in great shape, and I can't wait to ride it around town more and more.
Any comments on how to make it even better would be appreciated. Maybe a better derailleur? Lemme know!
Thanks!
