I get the reason love the look. But with BMX the chain is always tight enough not to worry about it. But it is added measure to keeping the frame fresh.

I mean, unless you’re garking up your chainstays doing grinds or something, I don’t really see the point.

I’ve done this on and off throughout the years, I used to do it when I did a bunch of crankflips and ran my chain loose enough to slap, but as I started doing more tailwhips and less crankflips I started riding a tighter chain and stopped doing this, I do like the look of it depending on the color of the bike but doesn’t serve a purpose to me anymore unfortunately
