Fat franks, thick slicks, surly extratesticles (2.5) are good options – cst patrols are nice too.

Continental Contact Urban are the perfect fit. They run a bit small though so if you want a true 2” get the 2.2” nominal. I own the 2” nominal and they come in around 1.85”. Super fast, supple, and affordable.

Been running vittoria mezcals in 2.125 on my hardrock and I love em for almost any surface I’m riding on

How has someone not yet mentioned the MAXXIS DTH EXO 2.3? They’re excellent and affordable. I’m on second year with them, not a single flat yet

From slick to knobby: Conti contact urban, Maxxis DTH, gravel king, Conti race king
I’ve tried all those and honestly liked all of them. DTH and gravel king felt the plushest, contact urban was the fastest feeling tire (though a bit narrower) and the race kings are fast enough to use as gravel tires. You can’t go wrong with any of them for rail trail and gravel use but I’d go with the contact urbans if you’re gonna be riding mostly asphalt and nice smooth gravel.

Continental Contact Speed 50-559.
On my relatively narrow rims, they are true to size snd measure exactly 50mm (unless the Schwalbe Marathon MTB 55-559 that I had before, which were a mager 48mm).
For a commuter tyre, it’s really supple and fast. Seems to be reasonably, tough, too.
Diamond tread pattern is good for hardpack and tarmac.
On loose stuff, you notice the lack of side knobs, so you may want to take corners are little slower.

I ordered a set of 2.3” Maxxis Ikons with brown sidewalls. I hope they fit!

Love the colour. Tire budget?
