Dumb question. I’ve got this 10 speed Microsoft bar end on my bike. But it only gives me 8 clicks when shifting. I can’t shift into my top gear (cassette is 10 speeds). What’s going on here??
Limit screw set correctly? Also, check cable end in shifter is seated correctly. Had an issue in new to me MTB cable setup where cable head was not seated appropriately and only shifted to 8th gear.

There would normally be 9 clicks in a 10speed shifter. Only have to shift 9 times to get from one end to the other. My guess limit screw is preventing the last one, or cable tension is off

Agreed on checking the limit screw and cable tension. If it won’t shift into the smallest diameter cog, the cable is too tight. For the inverse it’s too loose.
