Did I do a good enough job to keep all of my components dry? The last time I rode this bike in the rain, I didn’t cover anything & the battery shortened itself out, a $700 mistake.

I hope it goes well tomorrow & Tuesday!

My friend, if your e-bike is not rain proof, I’m sorry to say but it’s a shit bike. What in tarnation is the brand and model?

  2. I worry because I often forget to close the charging port when I’m done, and worry about rain getting in there (near the bottom bracket).

Luckily, it never rains in Southern California (except for the next few days).

  3. Blimey… I rode my Tongsheng DIY eBike through a thigh high flood (don’t do this folks, bad for bike, bad for humans) and then continued the 6 miles home. Never considered that a proper eBike wouldn’t cope with a bit of rain.

  4. When it’s wet the majority of the water, and all of the grit, grime, oil and other crap, is coming off the road. Full length fenders make a world of difference to keeping your bike clean and free from dirt.
