Does it happen when you’re not pedalling? I.e. compressing the suspension without pedalling. If yes then probably linkage bearings

Had a bottom bracket make strange noises when it neared it’s fully worn condition.

  3. Chainring bolts, derailleur hanger, BB bearings, pedals. Literally anything else that spins or takes any sort of load when you pedal.

Can be something simple as the rear axle needing some grease. Grease the axle shaft and the threads. Before you pull apart pivots, BB’s etc…

  5. also inspect chain. it can get damaged and not bend freely at every pin. sometimes you need to loosen a pin

  6. Honestly sounds like bottom bracket. If I’m understanding correct, it’s only when pumping (bouncing) and pedaling, it’s probably a linkage bearing. My best guess, but TF do I know lol

  7. Remove all bearings, one after another, clean them, grease them and put them back in with the right torque.

  8. If I had to guess I would say maybe BB or pivot bearing, maybe even seatpost? Those would be my top three, sometimes it could be the bars.

Sounds like bottom bracket creak. My bike has always done that for the entire life that I’ve owned it. We removed the bottom bracket, greased it and reinstalled it multiple times. The creak may go away for a little bit and then return. I was told that it’s probably just going to be one of the quirks of my bike forever.

  10. do a bolt check, and if the sound remains than it’s probably the bottom bracket
i had similar issue, i was sure it is the bottom bracket but turned out to be the rear axle not being tight enough
