A bit of a story. I rode my childhood Huffy until it was disintegrating, then upgraded to this Trek brand new in 8th grade. Rode it until college, then decided I wanted to upgrade to a titanium hardtail. I bought a frame and fork from Cambriabike and moved a bunch of components over, leaving the 930 for dead. That bike then was stolen from my apartment on my honeymoon and I lost interest in riding. Luckily I never got rid of the original frame. My winter project was to rebuild it with a period correct XT groupset, ditch the Indy S fork for a Carver, and generally buy the cool stuff I wanted in college but couldn't afford. I had a red saddle on the Ti bike so decided to lean into that look too. I can't wait to get some miles on it!

  1. What size frame is that? Largest mountain bike frame I’ve seen are 22 inch. That looks way bigger.

  2. I like the large frame bikes the most. Something about it. This bike is amazing, just the right amount of accent.
