Good morning,
I bought a new cassette for the rear (34T) and, at the same time, a new chain. Unfortunately, I threw away the old chain before I could compare the length.
Now I have the new chain and I’m doing the big chainring (front) to big sprocket (rear) test. Shimano states that if you are using a connecting pin (which I am), and depending on the type of chain end, you need to add 5 or 6 additional links. In my case, it should be 5 additional links, but I only have 4.
However, this is already a 116-link chain. I’m running a 48T chainring at the front and, as mentioned, a 34T sprocket at the rear.
Could you tell me how I should handle this? I’m using a Deore XT groupset.
Thanks in advance.

Don’t cross chain and I bet it’d be fine. You really shouldn’t use the 48/34 gear anyway
Put it together, you’ll be fine.
You’ll be fine.
That’s plenty long.
