I took a ride on Wednesday over near Forks. Beautiful day. It’s also a great time to ride up to the Sol Duc Falls trailhead – NP road is closed so there’s no cars.

Its been snow on the ground in NY since the beginning of December other than maybe 1 week. Good for fat biking though.
I’ve managed 2 days of outdoor riding this week between just enough melt and now just enough draining (and then flooding) after 3 days of rain. Tomorrow it’s back to below 0 and sunday when I’m back to work we’ve got snow coming again
Can’t wait for trails to dry again, I’ve been planning routes for tilehunting at work all winter
Also in the PNW here. Everyone is glad to be riding right now but also super concerned about how this is going to affect the summer. No snow pack means much lower river levels, things dry out faster, more wildfires, possibly more wildlife getting pushed into areas with humans, and all kinds of potential issues that will be dangerous this summer. 🙁
