I know there was another sub Reddit that was directed at these kinds of questions, but I can’t find it so here. I am wondering if this used bike is worth it..it’s at a bike cooperative here in my city. Bikes get donated the mechanics at the shop make sure they’re in good working order.

If the bike has fresh brake pads, cables and housing I’d say that is market value. You would also be supporting a solid local shop.
If you’re hard up on cash you can probably get an equivalent bike for less
No idea, but the first image looks so much like a moody black and white photo except the price tag
If it was me, I would not pay $300 for a bike with rim brakes.
Even though it is not a great deal, it still can be OK buy. If you don’t mind the rim brakes, and if you don’t do your own tune-up, as the bike is already tuned up by the co-op.
That price is hard to beat. If it fits you may want to seriously consider it. Especially if it came from a shop that tuned it up and refreshed parts. A hybrid is a good all around bike and the setup is bombproof. You’re not going to impress the cafe riders or the tour de france but you’ll have a fun time going all over with it.
Rim brakes are cheap and easy to work on.
