    If the bike has fresh brake pads, cables and housing I’d say that is market value. You would also be supporting a solid local shop.

    If you’re hard up on cash you can probably get an equivalent bike for less

  2. No idea, but the first image looks so much like a moody black and white photo except the price tag 

  3. If it was me, I would not pay $300 for a bike with rim brakes.

    Even though it is not a great deal, it still can be OK buy. If you don’t mind the rim brakes, and if you don’t do your own tune-up, as the bike is already tuned up by the co-op.

    That price is hard to beat.  If it fits you may want to seriously consider it.  Especially if it came from a shop that tuned it up and refreshed parts.  A hybrid is a good all around bike and the setup is bombproof.  You’re not going to impress the cafe riders or the tour de france but you’ll have a fun time going all over with it.

    Rim brakes are cheap and easy to work on.
