When the heavens open at the end of the day my colleagues often look at me with a concerned look and say "you're not going to cycle home in that are you??" Honestly, look at that road! Limited visibility and heavy traffic travelling way too fast for the conditions.
There's no way their journey is less stressful than mine

Yeah getting wet is nothing compared to getting crushed in a car
I always tell my colleagues who express similar concern that I’m not made out of sugar.
Daily driving is the most dangerous thing an average person does. It’s insane how effective automobile propaganda is in blurring this fact.
Statistics are real. The chances I’ll be hurt riding my bicycle are essentially zero compared to the probability of being maimed in a car crash on high-speed roadways.
I’m always worried about people in my life who drive everyday but telling them that would sound ridiculous to them.
This rain can fuck OFF though 😩 all my gear is starting to smell musty and washing it ruins iiiiiiit
