Help me plan this build

Spent a lot of time drooling over this in magazines when I was 12. Popped up in Craigslist on my bday a few years ago and I jumped on it! I've been treating it like a baby, putting maybe 10 miles on it in like 7 years and decided that's ridiculous, it's a fkn bike – ride it! I've wanted a fast rat trap pass road bike since they came out. Geometry on this looks worth trying out for that purpose so here I am. This group is the only place I know of that some people will understand what I'm doing here. I hope 😳😄

I have XTR m900 cantis and dura ace 7401 levers. I don't have the OEM A/73mm straddle cables. I have DiaCompe Gran Compe roller hangers and a couple of power hangers (unknown one that was literally the only one available online that I picked up from a storage locker at HomeDepot and was 100% sure I got scammed until the locker opened, and a Tektro that I bought a few months later in 10 seconds from like Jenson or some shit 🙄). I may run a Nitto M12 canti rack but have seen a setup with that and a power hanger so that's still an option. The hole in the fork crown is small and someone has tapped it w M4 threads. If I decide to run the rack I'll have to drill it out. Really curious about that because I'm not used to tiny holes there. My RockCombo has the same tiny hole. The other issue to consider is how far the cable run is from the stem of I run straddles. I have one of those crown hole mount hangers but it's ugly. The power hanger solves that. I'm leaning toward roller hangers and if I have problems up front due to distance from stem to the straddle I'd swap to the power hanger. My options are A) find some Shimano A/73 straddles, B) use the roller hangers, C) use power hangers both ends, or D) some combo of these.

Also can't decide on saddle and tape. I use Newbaums regular cotton tape over Fizik gel, sometimes shellaced. I planned to get a black turbo and use black tape. I threw this brown suede one on temporarily and it looks pretty good with the frame colors. Now I'm thinking brown turbo and whichever Newbaum brown shade matches. Orrrrr Black saddle and teal tape. I also have a black Flight Ti. I sew and plan to make a bag. I think teal tape and teal touches on the bag would bring out the teal in the decals and look really rad. But Brown looks really classy. Options are black turbo or Blake flite Ti with black or teal, or brown turbo with brown tape.

Bars are Soma Hwy one because they're super comfortable for me and available in silver with 26.0 clamp. No vintage compact drops and I'm not compromising this with some weird 1991 CX bars or something, because I'm gonna ride the shit out of it! SL-BS50 barends, M735 ders, XTR M950 12-32 Ti 8s cassette (12 swapped for 11 from another HG cassette). Suntour XC-II pedals. XT M730 seatpost in process of being deanodized and polished w new decal. If this process fks up the black on the clamp area I'm anodizing it all black and swapping stem for a really nice period correct black specialized MTB3 that I already have. I really hope deano and polishing works well because this needs silver parts. Paint is really nice. New decals are ordered from Gil in the UK. I've built a bunch of rad bikes but I'm more excited for this one by far! I have this alt history idea in my head. Like I paid 2k for it 1989, I got a '91Bradbury Manitou FS w all XTR and that motivated this build. So I may be finding some M950ish derailleurs. And a set of hubs to build a wheelset. Probably won't bother with seeking an XTR 26.6 seatpost. Unless someone has a good deal on one to offer!
