Join me for an unforgettable ski descent from the Tignes Glacier all the way down to the main ski town of Tignes, taking in some of the highest and most scenic skiing in the French Alps. Starting from the glacier at over 3,000 metres, this run showcases long cruising pistes, changing snow conditions, and incredible alpine views as we drop thousands of vertical metres back to resort level.

This video gives you a real POV skiing experience in Tignes, perfect if you’re planning a ski trip, curious about glacier skiing, or just love watching alpine descents. Along the way, you’ll see what skiing from the Grande Motte Glacier is really like, how the terrain changes as you descend, and what makes Tignes one of the best high-altitude ski resorts in Europe.

Whether you’re an intermediate skier looking to explore longer runs or an advanced skier wanting to link glacier skiing with lower-altitude pistes, this route is a classic Tignes experience. I’ll also share insights into snow conditions, piste difficulty, and what to expect when skiing from the glacier back to town.

If you enjoy ski POV videos, French Alps skiing, or want to see what skiing in Tignes & Val d’Isère is like, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and check out the rest of the channel for more ski adventures.

  1. Brilliant run down from Funicular. I tend to go to Tignes around Easter and it is often nice and sunny down that run. Complements to your partner – very elegant skiing. Geoff

  2. I love your skiing videos, and I think that it would be great, if you could start making lessons about videos – people would love to see videos on how you ski so well, especially in difficult piste conditions like sheet ice, moguls etc! Going from the intermediate to advanced level!
