Well, I fell off bicycles and motorcycles and been fine. Couple or bruises and scratches. But this my friends is what happens when you turn 50 and get thrown off and the first thing that stops your downward momentum is your shoulder. I laid there for a good 15 minutes to get my shirt together before getting up and finishing my ride.

Oof. I’m right there. I am finally in a place where I can get the gnarly bikes but I can’t ride them the way they’re supposed to be ridden. Life comes at your fast
Nice! I broke mine in two places two years ago. I also severed the tendon that goes from my collarbone to my shoulder blade.
I’m 50 but I’m in pretty good shape. I was jumping curbs three weeks later.
You’ll be all right. 👍🤘
Reminds me to start hitting the weights again
Done that.
What’s the orthopedist want to do?
Late 30s with a Stage 3 ac joint separation here! Can confirm: landing on your shoulder sucks. I live with the chronic pain and constant PT sessions. Can’t wait till I’m 60 it’s gonna really suck then.
I tore the ligament off mine. If you have a brace installed and then removed like me, going for a walk after it comes out and feeling your shoulder jiggle is the weirdest feeling. I assume some muscles had atrophied and needed some time to recover.
lol my collarbone didn’t even make it to 25 intact. Flew over the handlebar trying to land a jump mountain biking.
That’s not old age, from the X-ray I’m guessing that you fractured your collar bone (clavicle), a friend of mine fractured his in high school when he crashed on his bike.
I haven’t fallen off a bike or a motorcycle in roughly fifteen years, but my joints are turning to mush. Getting old just sucks.
Last time I fell off a bike, I cracked my pelvis, but I was still young then.
