Hi everyone,

Yesterday I asked whether I should go for a Cube Nuroad C:62 One or a Canyon Grizl CF 6. After reading your comments (especially about Canyon being great for bikepacking but using some proprietary parts), I started looking more into the Propain Terrel, which several of you recommended.

Right now, I’m seriously considering the Terrel, even though it’s a bit more expensive. The problem is that there are very few long-term reviews online, so I’d really appreciate some real-world feedback from owners.

A few specific questions:

  1. Downsides of the Terrel?
I’ve read about some mixed customer service experiences, but I’m mainly interested in the bike itself.

Anything that annoyed you after a few months?

  1. Shimano GRX 610 vs SRAM Apex AXS (same price)
I’m also stuck between the Shimano GRX 610 and the SRAM Apex AXS build since they’re the same price. On one hand, GRX feels like the safe and proven option — no batteries, no connectivity, just works. On the other hand, Apex AXS seems appealing with wireless shifting and a cleaner cockpit. For those who’ve ridden either (or both), how do they compare in terms of braking performance, shifting quality, reliability in bad weather, and long-term maintenance? Is battery management on AXS a non-issue in real life, or does it get annoying? Would you choose the same again?

  2. Propain frame bag
Has anyone tried the Propain frame bag?

Is it good quality?

Actually waterproof or just water-resistant?

Any issues with rubbing on the frame?

  1. Color choice – Terracotta vs Good Thyme
I really like the Terracotta at first glance, but I’m worried I might get tired of the orange over time. The green (Good Thyme) feels more “timeless.”
What did you choose and are you still happy with it?
If you have photos of your Terrel in either color, I’d love to see them!

Context:
I’ll mainly use it for gravel rides, some longer weekend tours, and possibly light bikepacking trips. Not racing, more adventure-focused. I’m hoping to have the bike by early spring.

Thanks a lot for the help — really appreciate the input from this community! 🙌
