Bike for my wife. Specialized Rockhopper Sport VS Scott Contrail 20

I have a Scott Aspect 940 and we really like my bike.

Now my wife wants a bike for her (she sometimes uses my bike) and I have been looking to what they are selling in my country.

I have found Scott is not making anymore the Aspect 940 and they have told me the similar model they have now is Contrail 20. I have looked at it and it looks good. I'm not sure about the Tektro brakes (but because I have never used them).

On the other hand, I have found the Rockhopper Sport from Specialized, and I liked it. It has the MT200 brakes that I have in my Aspect 940. What I'm not sure about this one is that it has 9 plates against the 11 that the Contrail 20 has.

The prices are: Contrail 20 is selling at 1049 USD and Specialized Rockhopper is 950 USD.

What would you recommend us? She is not going to use it in competitions. She wants something for everyday use.
